Homophobia in S.A

Homophobia is still an issue in South Africa, as it was when it was still something new. We have seen and heard of many attacks on them, don't get me wrong I don't endorse hate attacks but I think forcing people to accept something they do not agree, can be prejudicial. I heard a woman on the train saying she blames the local soapie GENERATIONS for making her son, "gay" whether this is important or not, is open for discussion. However how are the political parties changing the mindset of our people. It was once said the whites took away something of great value to the black man, "his mind" but is this a black problem or a universal one. I am an individual and I have my own opinions, I don't endrose hate attack but however I am not a fan of homosexuals. All I am saying is if it's an issue lets find a diplomatic solution to it, not turn a blind eye or rub it in each other's face. Tell me what you think of this predicament and perhaps we harbour the solution. :-)

Why vote and who to vote for

Are you sick of the social evils in your country?
Are you sick the current administration?
Are you sick of empty promises?
Are you sick of your country'sand your own economic standards?

It seems to me voting in South Africa has become a liability rather than a privilage. I cant believe this is the same country that shed blood for this but suddenly the country facing huge challenges. This country is 1 of the most beautifull I have seen, believe me I have seen plenty. It just seems we are lost we do not have a national goal, because we have found freedom.

Freedom? what is freedom, could we honestly call this freedom when you areafraid to walk out at night, not only because of gangsters but law inforcement its self. When you read this you might think things are really bad, not neccessarily we just need a strong, innovative and intelligent leader. The only way to get this is to vote, sadly that does not guarantee you anything. Where is the youth of this country when things are so sour, I will tell you where they are, they are in some corner smoking, drinking and robbing people.

These words taste like vinegar to a patriotic South African like myself. If you are out there feeling my pain, do something,VOTE. Voting is more than a cross on a piece of paper but it includes finding out everything about the party you are voting for. If S.A needs something to fight well here it is= our soci-economic freedom, without this there isno democracy

Vote for your country, Vote for your future

BUSH SRC CAMPAIGN

We all know that South Africa is struggling to find skilled workers. This may be caused by lack of excess to quality education or our students FAIL. The SRC of UWC has started a campaign against the latter after all one can only do so much. It is called "60% or nothing" this campaign was started to promote the use of student assistance services such as, writting center, mentorship and many others offered at the institution (feels good to finally stop saying school).

We need to go to school but most imoprtantly we need to pass when we are there. The campaign kicked off with greate intertainment from Dj Kent, this just shows you don't have to stop having fun but you can find the balance 8-)

LOOKING FOR A Radio DJ?

To any radio station looking for a Dj, this is an oportuniy of a life time. We have talent at UWC and we are not afraid to share it.
The radio dj is qualified and is still raw and very innovative, did I mention a captivating voice and eager to learn.

These days you just cannot find a young person to rely on and that is why when ever you turn your radio you hear some guy's voice that makes you wanna break that radio. Voice coaching and other techniques can make you famous, most "celebrities" are not really talented but they have explosive personalities = Take Khanyi Mbau what can she really so? Well my radio Dj freind SESE has both but no oprtunity to prove himself let the youth have their voice.
